6.1 FASTENERS

6.1.1 Structural bolts used in frame splices and in secondary to primary framing connections shall be high strength bolts conforming to ASTM A307 or A325

6.1.2 Panel fasteners shall be number 12 or 14, self-drilling and self-tapping screws. All screws shall have hex heads with metal neoprene washers. Fasteners shall be color coated to match exterior finish of panels and trim.

6.1.3 Blind fasteners shall be 1/8" diameter, high strength aluminum rivets.

6.2 TRIM, FLASHING, GUTTERS & DOWN SPOUTS

6.2.1 Corner, eave, rake, door and window trim shall be 26 gauge "Galvalume" or pre-painted steel.

6.2.2 Ridge caps shall be 26 gauge, "Galvalume" or pre-painted steel, die formed to match roof pitch. Ridge caps shall have the same panel profile as roof panels to insure proper fit.

6.2.3 Gutters and down spouts shall be 26 gauge "Galvalume" or pre-painted steel.

6.3 SEALANTS & CLOSURES

6.3.1 The corrugation of the roof and wall panels shall be filled with solid closed-cell, pre-formed rubber, neoprene or polyethylene closures along the eave, ridge, rake and sill for weather tightness.

6.3.2 Roof panels shall be sealed with butyl based elastic compound with a minimum solid content of 99% as indicated on the erection drawings.
