Identify the metal building sidewall sheets, the endwall
sheets, and roof sheets. Prearrange them in a convenient location
near portion of the steel building being worked on. Be certain to
use the correct length of steel building sheet before fastening it
to the metal building.
Be sure all metal buildings sheets are secured and protected
from the wind at all times.
Install the steel building sidewall sheets first, beginning on
the side away from the primary view, such as the rear wall of the
metal building. This will produce the best appearance, because the
metal buildings sheeting laps will be on the side away from the
viewer. Do not use roll caulking (mastic sealant) on
laps when sheeting sidewalls.
Install the endwall panels next, again concealing the laps
away from the front view of the metal building. Do not
use roll caulking (mastic sealant) on laps when sheeting endwalls.
